The birth of Christu Jyoti convent was the result of a felt need to have a formation house in North India. With the guidance of Rev. Fr. Thobias OFM cap.and Fr. Peter Celestian OFM cap. Baghpat was selected for the formation house. On 3rd February 1986 this convent was blessed. The local people then came forward and demanded for opening an English medium school as it was a backward area and had no opportunity for quality education. In the same year we started a school with a small group of children. Later a home for the differently able poor girls .Currently the school is one of the best schools of the city with 1700 students and 45 staff members. The pioneers were Late Mother Demetria, Sr. Lissette and Sr. Lucia.
